Burisibru Jwng Daau Jwng

                Some Bodo terminologies : 
           1.Burisibru or Birisibru (Lasia spinosa), a vegetable known to be nutritious, grows in      marshy area. 
          2.Jwng: with. 
          3.Daau: chicken. 

Burisibru(Bodo), Chengmora(Assamese), Lasia spinosa(Scientific).

400g Daau, diced and washed.

A buch of Burisibru ....

...chopped, approximately 3 cups.

2 potatoes, peeled and cubed.

Paste of 2 onions+12 pods of garlic+little ginger
Green chilly to taste, chopped.

2 tsp turmeric, salt to taste.

3 tbsp mustard oil. 

Heat oil, fry all the ingredients leaving aside burisibru til meat turns brown.

Add burisibru, stir well and fry for some more time till the vegetable dissolves.

Add 2 cups water and cook covered.

Stir and check occasionally, if needed pour little more water. 

Burisibru Jwng Daau Jwng is ready to serve with a plate of steaming hot rice.
